I haven't posted here for quite awhile, but I have found life settling into a more secure and long term pattern, so I'm back. I'm back with all my questions about 30's clothing, Indy gear and silly stories.
I certainly hope some of you were sharp enough to add quality spats to your dress shoes while I was gone.
But as this is the jacket forum, I'll get to the topic at hand...
Have any of you ever worn a belted bush/safari jacket in lieu of the Indy Leather jacket? Seems to me that this classic jacket would great with a Fed or a Keppler (or one of those Adventurebilt numbers I've seen folks praising, had to look and drool for myself). A vest or a safari shirt would look good with this style of jacket. In fact, the entire Indy wardrobe could be worn with one of these, IMHO. USWings makes an all cotton number for the right price, about $50. Orvis has one for more made with polyester, ehhh.
Anyone else ever consider this? Anyone own one? Post pics and comments. I'd love to see what you have or hear what you think.
It's been a long time...

For the past four days I've been wearing my AB with a bush jacket made by Beretta, just changing out the shirt and trousers (Bill's Khakis) each day. And I only got one "safari" or hunter comment the entire time. And it wasn't meant in a pejorative sense either. The young lady who made it simply couldn't think of a better way to express herself. She meant it as a sincere compliment.
Cheers!
