Hi to all, I'm new to posting on these fantastic forums,
I plan to order a Wested Raiders goat skin and have taken my measurements per the page at Wested's site, however I'm a little confused as to how one measures the sleeves i.e. with your arms extended out to the side (as a T) or with them straight down.
Any help would be most appreciated and again I do apologize if I did infact miss a post covering this.
Thank you for your time and this great site/forums.

Hi there, and welcome.
After having several coats and jackets tailored, I find that the two best ways to measure sleeves are:
1. With your arm hanging down, relaxed and slightly bent at the elbow, measure from the tip of your shoulder to the elbow, then from the elbow to the desired site near the wrist/hand. Add these two measurements.
2. Measure the sleeves from the shoulder steam to the end of the sleeve on a jacket that fits you extremely well.
This site may be useful, as the Raiders jacket is but a modified flight jacket:

However you measure, be sure to specify exactly how you took the measurements when placing your order.
Hope this helps -- I'm sure some other users will chime in here soon.
