Does ordering extra's on the jacket change it's overall appearance? Illinois.

Not overtly. The devil's in the details. To me, the extras are just there for convenience if you want them, but w/ and w/o, these are all Indy jackets.

I haven't seen anybody's that I looked at and thought, "That doesn't look like Indy!" Never happened.

To others, even minor things, like the x-box stitch pattern is an extra that can 'change the look' of the jacket.

It really depends on whether you are closer to the '100% screen accuracy' bent or the 'close enough' bent.

Any particular extra in particular you were thinking of?

Some might notice the action pleat change a bit, or the double-gussets - varied reports on the double-gussets, some don't notice them when the arms are down, a couple folks said it looked like there was extra material there.

The biggest driver will be the way it fits your frame more than these mods, though, I'd say. If you nailed your measurements, these are only minor tweaks. If you got a jacket that doesn't fit you, these aren't going to make a difference anyway. ;)

How long did they say for your jacket? At this point it might be a bit of a race to get it before Halloween. Now is when we start tracking their turnaround time again, as everyone starts putting in orders for Halloween and Christmas.

If you do have a specific date you need it by, let Wested know, so if others make the same request yours doesn't slip behind. Happened to me last year - ordered w/ ample time, maybe a bit close - but a lot of others requested delivery by Oct 31, I didn't...and I got mine Nov 1.

That's what I ordered as well sept for the linning, had to go with satin for the sleeves. I did request a smaller coller (via the 80's fit/look) and a zip for the inside pocket. I think you'll be pleased when it showes up.

Cheers,
Jeff
