Me!
I got mine (lamb, TOD) a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately, it's been too warm to wear it here in Los Angeles. It only took 20 days to get here, and I was a little shocked at first at how light it is. But, it'll be the perfect fall/spring jacket to replace the old army coat I wear now.
My only issue is that I didn't realize British zippers are on the left. I half-thought about exchanging it for an "American" zipper, but I really like the British-ness of the Wested so I'm gonna keep it.
Also, when I had a question for Gemma, she literally answered my email within 10 MINUTES of me sending it -- great customer service!

Hello and welcome! Congratulations on the new jacket. It is shocking how light they are when you first touch it. For a moment you think there must be a mistake, then you remember how Indy's was light and how it draped.
Don't worry about the zipper either; you'll get used to it.
Enjoy the jacket and post some pictures.

Congratulations, Doh.
What options did you ask for?
(xbox stiching?, elastic in pleats?, zipper on inner pocket?, satin or cotton body & sleeves, etc.)

Hey!
I just went for the basics, no special order:
Jacket style: Temple Jacket
Leather: Authentic Brown - Lambskin
Lining / Zip: Cotton Body-Satin Sleeves (rec)
Side Fastener: Antique Brass D Rings
Basically, I was in the market for a new jacket so why not get Indy's (or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof)? I just think it's incredibly cool that the original maker is still in business so there's no debate whether or not we can own the "real" jacket.
I'm pretty amazed that they're the same price -- or cheaper -- than others on the market not made by the original maker. Too bad the makers of the original Vader costume can't do the same (Rubie's makes a decent Halloween costume, but...).

They're talking about the location of the zip itself. In the U.S., zippers are right handed on jackets. The Wested jacket zipper is on the left. Once you've worn one for a while, you get used to it, but considering all our lives we've zipped up clothing with right hand zippers, it's not easy.

I haven't had that many zippered jackets to really notice which side the pull was but I suppose if you are used to the other side then you would notice.
From a design point of view the storm flap also serves to hide the pull when the jacket is unzipped so it does make sense to keep the "British" zip if you can stand it! and screen accurate too!
