First pic, Prairie AB

Post by prairiejones »

Here is the first pic of my Adventurebilt. It is 100% beaver, and so far 100% everything that I hoped for. I am enjoying shaping it. I will have more pics tomorrow, as this bash is only about an hour old. I will get all of the angles. I will also have a review. Sorry for the red eye.

YES! :D PJ you've got that bash down truely perfect. I mean it! Even the funny little slant at the left side top of the crown

So did you follow Pagey's tutorial to the letter, or what?

Leave it just as it is. Nice 8)

Pretty much. I cold/dry bashed it. This felt is not Akubra felt. I'll cover that in my review. I'll post bashing pics tomorrow. I do a little more to the brim than Pagey, and I differ from him in one other major area. I'll cover that tomorrow.

Awesome PJ. Your bashing technique is exceptional. The uneven humps look spot on.
I suppose yours was the only hat to make it out of Fedora's shop last week. Lucky you!

I agree with everything that's been said -- especially about the bash. I haven't looked at any screengrabs in a while, but that looks fantastic! Nice, nice job.

Very nice indeed! You are one of the premier 'bashers' here for certain. Can't wait until my bashing abilities/technique are figured out, if ever...
