Hello,
I sent an e-mail to Wested asking them the best way to go about caring for the Cotton Raiders, and I got the following back.
Ironing the jacket will be no problem, we would not recommend dry cleaning the jacket.
That was all the information I got. Do any of you have any tips for caring for the jacket? I could wash it, but I'm not sure what will happen to it.
Thanks.
Jeff

When I first got it, he said Dry clean only! I guess he changed his policy on that one! I've machine washed it before but it developed pills all of the jacket which wore off eventually.

WHAT??!!! Mine says 'dry clean only' on a tag right inside the jacket!! What gives, folks? Did they change materials or what?
I just sent a direct email to Peter to ask what the story is here. Thanks for the update. I was literally prepared to take mine to the dry cleaners this afternoon!!
Regards! Michaelson

Me either. I'll post just as soon I get a reply, rest assured! I'm as confused as well, which doesn't take much to do anymore.

Huh.. I think my jacket reads 'dry clean' also.
I would like to know the answer to this question.
Thanks.

DRY CLEAN ONLY! We put this label in the cotton jacket because we want you to DRY CLEAN ONLY. The jacket can be washed with care but we recommend DRY CLEAN to cover our arse.
I am sorry if there has been some confusion but take this as gospel.
We Do NOT however recommend DRY CLEAN on the leather jackets which is where maybe there was a misunderstanding.
Hope that is clear?
Cheers
Peter

Thank you Peter! That's how I understood it too, and now we know absolutely for sure this is the route to go for cleaning.
Ok, it's off to the dry cleaners with mine then....

Thank you Peter!
Now if I ever get this thing dirty enough to warrant a good dry cleaning....

Techincally my tag in the jacket says, "Entrust only to specialist cleaners."
This is where I was confused because when I think of "specialist cleaners" I think of the mafia...nevermind.
Anyway, thanks Peter for the instructions....it's off to the cleaners for me too.
