I wonder if under the arms it is like the FS raiders, with a lot of extra material for freedom movement. Those look pretty bad on me and I want a nice fuller cut jacket but without the under arms being modified for movement like that one.
Thanks
who owns a G2 jacket?

Gussets
You might be able to have FS make you up an A-2 minus the epaulets. Since it doesn't have the gussets, it would mean that they would simply have to omit the gussets. It wouldn't really change the structure or pattern of the jacket. They might offer it.
The CWU does not have epaulets or gussets. It's a good looking jacket, just not a "classic" flight jacket.
Come christmas, I'm hoping to get an M-422A from them for myself. I won't feel completely like a pilot until I'm wearing that jacket.

Thought I'd jump in real quick, two 'Flyer' screen names on the forum, could be trouble.... Just kidding, welcome.
For what it is worth in regards to an aviation jacket, I've been wearing a Navy issued G-1 for the last 15 or so years and it is a winner. I'm sure you know the specs; goat, satin, mouton collar, underarm gussets, bi-swing back, map pocket, etc... (I'm sure there is one on flight suits site) Although a wool collar doesn't fit in much around here it has been a comfort against my neck of a chilly morning on a carrier flight deck or airfield ramp. That being said, I am ordering a Wested this fall for a second jacket of different style and versatility.
