Well I've finally got my image hosting issues sorted out (temporarily & with thanks to the good friend involved ) & some pictures worth sharing (thanks to my girlfriend for taking them ) so...

Yeah, went for 6 weeks to China & Mongolia.
I'm big into horse riding (at least I was until my back got bad a few years ago) & I had some fantastic experiences out there riding their horses, including a herders horse at one of the provincial Nadaam festivals, which was awesome!
You get to go to Mongolia! I am SO jealous now! Well I suppose Mongolia would be a great place to break in your gear. All the history, all the adverse climates! I've GOT to go there sometime! Great pix btw. Really makes me wish I was there. :junior: -IJ
Great pics. I am going to have to show these to my wife. She is very interested in a lot of things about China. I am sure that she would love to go there some day. Be sure to let us know when they are all up on the Fedora Chronicles.
Skippy, those are absolutely amazing pics! I love the gear, but this is why I really come to COW! Yours and Indiana Ken's and Farnham54's adventures are what it is really all about: getting out there and doing it!
I'll be watching the Fedora Chronicles closely! Can't wait to hear the stories that go with the pics (and see more pics, of course)!

It's a sneak preview site which will morf into the the front page of your adventure. It's up to you if you want to tease everyone youself, or I'll do it and I'll post the link to the front page.
