lee keppler gear

Post by sab04 »

I was thinking about getting a lee kepler holster and gunbelt. Does anyone own these items and if so could you comment on them? Are they worth the price? Are they accurate? Do lee's merchandise ship quickly? Thanks

Yes

The items are patterned directly from the originals. If he has them in stock, they're shipped immediately. Absolutely, they're worth every penny, and then some. Regards. Michaelson

I'll second Michaelson's comments. I've been dealing with Lee for 12 years now, ever since I saw his ad in the Lucasfilm fan club magazine. His merchandise has always been top notch as has his knowledge of all things Indy. You may have to wait every now and then if he doesn't have something in stock, as he uses outside vendors to manufacture some of his items, but you'll find the wait is well worth it.

Though I do need to state that it's "Keppler". I don't know why, but Lee's must be the most misspelled name on the forum.

Lee was in Fresno this past weekend and my guess is he should be back by now unless he is off to another show.

I have pretty much everything he sells and the quality is the very best.

While Lee is always on the busy side, the products are worth the wait.

'Busy' is an understatement. I emailed Lee my order for a holster and whip over a month and a half ago, and still no response. But, as they say, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

It's been a month and a half for me too. I was hoping to have them by Halloween. But good things come to those who wait!

Four months? I've been unsuccessfully sending Lee emails pretty regularly for the past month. It sounds like we're going to be lucky to get our stuff by Christmas. The things I've ordered, or trying to order, are supposed to be my wife and kids' Christmas present to me. It sounds like I might have to make alternative arrangements 'cos it doesn't sound like it'll come through in time. Perhaps I'll just ask Santa for a nice pair of sox and a tie instead of Indy gear. Sheesh! What am I saying?

Got to Western Stage Props.

Post by Dr._J »

Hey all,

If you want Keppler gear without the wait (Lee's a busy man), go to westernstageprops.com. They are handling all Lee's Gear with the exception of hats and whips. The prices are the same plus they ship immediately! No more wait! The items are in the catalog but not in the website. Just call them and tell them what you want. Hope this helps.

I just scoured the Western Stage Props' site & I couldn't find any Lee Keppler gear mentioned. Did you see this on the site or did they tell you about it on the phone? I am among the several poeple yho have emailed Lee about getting some of his gear without a response and I would love to find an easier path. Thanx for the info BTW!

Yeah, their website is not updated to reflect the new catalog. Just call them for now. And please tell them that you are from the Indygear crowd. They need to know that they need to cater to us Indy guys.

I just got their new catalog and there is a nice splash page of Indy Gear right in the middle. I guess I'm on their mailing list because I've ordered from them before. The belt looks sort of funky though. That keeper is thinner and more rectangular than the one I have and the buckle is totally different. I'll see about posting pics of the catalog. I don't have a scanner, so I'll have to take a picture of it.

BTW, they also DON"T carry the bagstraps or any TOD or LC gear.

When I ordered my Strain and accoutrements from them, they were very nice and shipped FAST! Got my stuff in a couple of days. The fast shipping is the important part to me. ;)

Sorry, that's the best I can do. Notice the S&W and the Webley? I have them both. Very nice.

Thanks for posting Chamorro! I just received mine, but I called to see when they were mailed out. It turns out they are doing them in batches, by alphabetical order. So if you have ordered from WesternStageProps before and haven't received your catalog, well any day now.

PLEASE tell me the Webley is a blank firing and not just a static replica!!!
I'd gladly pass over the real one for a blank if I can get it!

I finally got the holster, gunbelt, and prop gun through WSP and all I have to say is SWEET!!! :D Everything is awsome!!! Much better than expected, I must say. They're perfectly screen accurate. If you need a holster, belt, or gun, Lee Keppler's are the way to go!!!
