Akubra re-blocked with PICS

My Akubra was looking pretty poorly so i made my own block with some wood and this is how it turned out I will need some opinions hopefully to modify the block and improve it. Take a look.....

I like it. Thing the front crease needs straightened slightly with the bash, though this is something I found difficult to correct once the hats been ... used a bit.

Yeah ill change that the crease is of a little... and ken used is and understatement this hat is rough, hoping to get a new ribbon in the near future theres a bit of a botch job done on it :roll: :lol:

Great job Aviator!

The only initial thing I see is the center dent on top of the crown. It needs to be more straight, front-to-back. (Personal preference :wink: )

And the straightening of the crease, like Ken noted.


All in all, that's some impressive homemade blocking! :D

Thanks a lot for the feedback i will try and get some pics of the block......my internet is being rationed after the last phone blll :lol:

my hat has deen a good few adventures and ill post pics of the scars :shock:

my block was made out of ply-wood (sp) so thats my guess
