I was about to take the ribbon off my Fed Delux and then looked inside and wondered, do you sew through the liner or take it out or what? My liner seems to be glewed in. I looked at this but it didn't mention the liner. Do you "rip" it out and re glew it?
Also, what's a good way to make sure you get it tight when you put it back on? Any sewing tips? Do you go through the same holes a couple times and tie a knot?

I changed the ribbon on my Fed. FLip down the sweat band. Inside ther is another little flap. THere is stitching at the bottom that flap. Stitch there, starting on the inside. Go through once or twice. Be sure to hit the same spot. Once back on the inside, tie a knot. You can even use the other stitching to tie to. For the higher stitching, just do it where ever you can get under the liner. If the liner comes loose, just put it back in place and the sweat band will hold it there. Be patient, this job takes awhile.
