Which Material???

Post by Indiana Neri »

What is a better material for a fedora that will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, yet is very durable at the same time? I have a 100% wool Disney hat that has served me well (surprisingly), but I was sweating perfuslly(sp?) the other day in it. I was just curious as to hear from some of the experts and see what their opinion is towards a good year-round fed. Thanks in advance.

I have a Light tan 5X Sterling Beaver Stetson Cowboy hat that I use when I do yard work. You would think that it would be cooler then the dark brown Adventurebilt.

... Nope. It's about the same. Just that the brim is wider and provides more shade.

I had a wool Disney(Dorfman) and now have an Akubra made out of bunny. It seems to breathe a lot better than the wool therefore not get as hot. That Dorfman would roast in the sun.
