Getting some decent humps

Post by prairiejones »

Even though the brim is cut wrong, I'm getting some good practice at the camel humps.

About the brim, Ron at Hats Direct is taking great care of me and sending me another hat. I've heard great things about several of the hatters mentioned on this sight. I have to put Hats Direct up there based on my experience. They put right at ease.

Sorry for the blur

oh, what a set-up that header is!

Nice humps. You have to tilt your head a ways down to see those ususally, don't you? Or do you wear your hat low on your brow?

I see now! In order to become a scoundrel... one must not exhibit restraint. Teach me more, Master Bink!... uh, Mister Bink.

I'm 6'4" so I really needed to get a high angle and look down a bit. I wear it Indy style-pulled down tight with a slight backward tilt. The brim just barely touching the top of my ears.

Ah, young weedhoppah... snatch this wallet from my pocket and you will learn much indeed.... Like how it was your wallet to begin with!

Hey, prairie, is that an Akubra? If so, you did a great job shaping it!

It is an Akubra and thanks.

This one has the brim cut incorrectly and hatsdirect is replacing it. So I get to start over knowing what I know now.

I don't carry a wallet, but now that you mention it, I am suddenly missing a fair amount of skin.

Will Hatsdirect take back a hat that's been bashed already? I'm assuming you got it open crowned.

From what I understand, Ron is sending PJ a new hat, open crown, and told him to keep his old one, as it was a mistake done at the shop. HatsDirect is el primo in terms of customer service and always has been, in my opinion! Regards! Michaelson
