Anybody ever get a Young Indy style Adventurebilt?

Post by Tristan »

Based on an earlier thread, I know that the Young Indy fedoras are mostly unpopular around here. Still, I was curious as to whether anyone has had Steve make them one. I've already got a beaver Raiders AB and have been thinking about maybe getting a Young Indy style hat. I am wondering if there is any feedback or pictures on these. I know the young Indy fedora doesn't look too great in many episodes but after watching the 12 available video chapters multiple times each year for the last three years, the hat has really grown on me as I have grown to be the same age Indy is in those episodes. I figure this thread is worth a try even though I doubt anyone has one of these hats yet.

I know someone has one, because Steve has mentioned that he has made some. So, I hope someone out there posts some photos.

I hope that someone has a few pics of theirs!

I really like the style of this fedora also. The Young Indy Chronicles came on t.v. about when I was Indy's age during the chronicles...late teens/early 20's....

Anybody ever get a Young Indy Style Adventurebuilt?

I recieved a YijF-Rabbit, from Fedora -Adventurebuilt. After I recieved it I found that I just did not like how it looked on me. So I bashed it and gave it a tight pinch. If you really want one, I am sure that Fedora will accomodate you. As you can see in the pic. Wide brim-Wide ribbon
Hope that this has been helpful. This is only me,and how I feel. You may feel different.

I'd like to whole-heartedly thank everybody who left feedback. Its nice to know I'm not alone on this issue. I appreciate the pictures from both Fedora and IndianaWill. I think I'll do a little experimenting in photoshop to see how I would look in the Young Indy hat.

In some cases the young indy fedora looks really good but then others where it looks TERRIBLE. The thing i like about it is it reminds me of really turn of the century fedoras that would just be thrown on your head and away you go 'a practical dress hat if you will'.

You know if you got a federation and a wider ribbon it would look pretty similar to a yijc fedora.
