I'm dumb

I just found out today by accident that the Raiders jacket actually has side pockets....I mean it seems like common sense that it would...but I always just thought it had the flap pockets...

Yep, they're called 'hand warmer slits'. No, you're not dumb, this mistake has been made a lot!

It took me a while to figure out that one too.

If you'll remember from LC, the lucky lighter was taken out of Indy's side pocket, and all three jackets had the same design...essentially. Regards! Michaelson

Yup, the originals had them.

I don't really care much for the hand warmer pockets. All the ever did on my Wested was hang stay open. I've found them to be too shallow to securely hold anything. And then they are in a prime position to snag on chair arms. Mine are now velcroed shut.

I've never used them, but never had any problems with them either. That velcro idea is a good one, J_Weaver! Regards! Michaelson

Thanks!
Actually I've never had any real problems with the pockets either. Its just that when my jacket is zipped it the pockets want to open. I think the culprit is the longer ToD of my jacket. But the velco solved the problem. The type I used is 1/2" wide and has the sticky back. If I used the pockets I'm sure that they would have to be stitched in place, but since I don't use the pockets their holding fine.
