Press Stud at bottom of storm flap (I never fasten the top one)

I gave them more than just my suit size to go on: sleeve and chest measurements, and dress shirt size. I am confident that from those I will receive a jacket that feels as good as it looks!

Like they all say, I plan to let this jacket age naturally. I'll enjoy it's new look while it lasts, and when it starts to get dinged up, I won't baby it quite so much and let it get the look. I'm planning on a Southwest desert road trip at the end of August, so just maybe I'll have this thing in time to keep me comfy on those cool desert nights...

Congratulations!
I've had my authentic lamb Raiders jacket for about a month now, and except for wearing it one cool evening up in Colorado, I've had to confine myself to inside the house where the A/C makes doing so bearable. I can't wait for cooler weather come October or so! Then perhaps my wife won't be giving me "that look" everytime she sees me wearing it while watching TV.

And yes, I'm letting mine distress on its own as well. Like a new car, maybe I'll stop babying it after it gets its first parking lot ding.

Yeah guys, I've had my Wested goat for a little over 2 weeks and it's super hot in South Georgia. I got busted today, my wife had been finding in bed with us

to break it in. Evidently she doesn't like sharing me!

I know i got pretty lucky, i put a bid in at the last minute which failed.luckily my swipe went in and it was at £70 but myself being cautious put it up to £80 in the last five minutes so hey presto one raiders authentic goatskin

Congratulations Lord Clarence! Now, once we get past the triple digits of temperature, we may get to enjoy our Wested's. Paso Robles is supposed to hit 110°F today

. I hope that the desert evenings at the end of August are cool enough to wear it.

Boy, I sure hope it cools off. I'll be swinging up to the Colorado Rockies for some camping on the same trip, so I should at least get the benefit of elevation as well. How great will that be! Can't wait!

I don't have any time estimates yet, but it seems like I asked for practically an off-the-rack jacket, so I wouldn't expect too long of a wait. Of course, Peter has spoiled us with the potential of a week turn around... you never know!

Well, I ordered an extra inside pocket, x-box stitching, and press studs on the stormflap for a TOD jacket and got it within the week. So, you never know.

Wow! Well, I guess I'll just try to hold my mouth right and see what happens.

One "bonus" about my new job (which partially makes this jacket possible): my corner of the office is freezing most of the day; so instead of the heavy cordoroy shirt I wear now, I can wear the Wested!

P.S. FYI, for those US gearheads ordering or waiting for their order, it is helpful to know that after ParcelForce reports that your jacket is in the country (JFK), you can go to USPS (www.usps.com) and plug in the same tracking number to follow it from there. You can even set up automatic email updates of status!

P.P.S. Does anyone else get the BBC "Ground Force" theme stuck in their heads at the mention of ParcelForce?

I actually got it a few days ago, but I knew better than to post without at least a couple of token pictures to start with. Without further ado...

I apologize for the graininess and lighting. Just quickies, you understand.

I trusted a lot to Wested's ability to judge from my height, weight, and jacker size, and was not disappointed. Like most, I am surprised and pleased at the light weight of the jacket; it's definitely the lightest leather jacket I've ever owned.

Two minor quibbles, which are about me more than the fine work that went into the jacket: 1) I've got to shape the collar. It lays really flat, and it looks a little goofy. 2) It's got to be distressed. I never planned to do it (that's what they all say, right?), but it's new-ness just isn't right. I've seen a lot of LC style distress jobs that are too overboard for my taste, but a little bit to take the shine off and give the seams a little bit of pop, roughen the edges a little, will be about right.

It looks great, Clarence. Congratulations. I especially like the back shot. It looks like it fits you quite well. I agree that the weight of it is shockingly light when you first get it and it is indeed quite new. Personally, I will let time do the distressing.

I'll have a great opportunity to break in my new Wested on the Southwest Road Trip; I leave this coming weekend. I don't have time to touch the jacket beforehand, so I will get the chance to wear it and let it get used to me before I can even think of distressing it. I can just imagine warming by the fire in my Wested on a cool desert night...

I'll give a full report on how the features of my jacket strike me after some time wearing it.

Thanks for the comments on the pictures. It fits quite well. I've always found the back of these jackets striking with the lack of middle seam; the back shot is a favorite of mine, too. The lighting is a little dark, but you can see that the Authentic Brown is dark enough to please; it's not a "light" color at all.
