Prairiejones-Akubra Pictures

Post by prairiejones »

Here are my first pics. The one is of me and my dad. I got him one too. After all he is the one that told me twenty four years ago that Indys hat was actually an "old dress hat". I have to say that I am very pleased with how they turned out. I've spent a little more time on mine. i can certainly see some of the limitations of the Akubra, but I believe that I squeezed every ounce of Raiders that I could out of it. I found that I had to really beat the snot out of it to get what I wanted out of it. I would encourage anyone to sit on their hat, over and over. I had this one inside out a couple of times.
I want to thank everyone here for their help and imformation. Especially the web sight Indygear.com. If I hadn't found you guys, I would still be looking for this hat.
Now it's a matter of time. I'll see how it holds up and go from there. I do see a hazy figure on my horizon. I can't quite make it out yet, but I belive it is an AB.

Prairie,
That may be one of the best bashes I have ever seen anyone squeeze out of an Akubra. Great job! It's nice to see your dad involved there as well.

That is a very cool Fedora. Can your dad do a Scottish Accent? You guys could be the original Harrison and Sean!
