Problem here is we have THREE official sources of information, HJ (Richard Swales, maker of the two hats), Paramount prop department, and Western Costume.Texas Raider wrote: I'm tellin' ya, I think we have a break-down in communication even from the paramount people. have a nice day.
Ok, I'm gonna try this one more time. I'll admitt that the suit looked gray in that one pic. But it looks brown from the most part in the movie. I just don't see brown in the hat, not at all. I don't see a hint of brown in it, none.Texas Raider wrote:Hey, Mr Magnoli, did you notice that everyone is just blowing over the fact that you showed what APPEARED to be a GREY suit and in fact it is LIGHT BROWN!? In that pic, it CLEARLY looks grey, but the real life description is brown. I'm tellin' ya, I think we have a break-down in communication even from the paramount people. Unless they're unroasted, in which case they're green...Kilgour Trout wrote:Which is surrounded with bags of protective bullet proof coffee beans. (Which I definitely know are brown, Oh sorry I shouldn't have said that)
Hey Folks : I know they're out there amongst the forum members but I have yet to see an actual Sea Plane Indy lid on anybody's head. I'm quite keen to go after one for my work wardrobe and am interested in what folk think is the best out there in terms of quality, price and vendors.
AMEN, TR, AND AMEN!!! As an industrial videographer, I fight the same fight in my business...and THAT'S why professional rackTexas Raider wrote:LOL! This whole discussion reminds me of a recurring one I have with people every now and then! WHAT COLOR IS GREY?!(or red or green or whatever) . You or I might think we are seeing grey, but is grey to me REALLY grey to you? Or is it green? How do we ever really know what another person is seeing as the same color really IS the same color? Answer-we don't. It's like The Matrix line - "How do the machines really know what tasty wheat tastes like?" All it is, is the conditioning of our mind to relate a certain visual color with a certain NAME of a color. Someone could EASILY be taught wrong from the git-go, and be told all of their life that the color 'red' was the color 'grey'. And after that, you could never convince them otherwise! It's a very interesting topic to talk about. have a nice day.
Yeah sorry i meant the HAT. There was no light where the hat is so it looks DARK but it doesnt mean it has to be really dark! If you compare it with black Donovan suit we can say it's BLACK so i wouldnt trust so much our eyes. Let's think deeply to the POWER of the dark side.. ehm of the exposition and the light!Indy Magnoli wrote:Not the hat, the suit. I think the suit looks grey, but the hat is certainly a brown one (albeit, darker than we're used to, in my opinion). But in that picture the hat looks black!erri_wan wrote:I think it's a normal brown hat in a dark point.![]()
