By local I mean in my COUNTRY, Its that bad. I will pull my hair out if i call another hatter and get asked what type of floral arangment i would like in my fedora.

The only place i Know that makes a point of supplying hats is in Dublin and they get them from England and are laughingly expensive, like £40 for a wool.

If you can make it over to London, I'm sure we can recommend the HJ/Swaine Addney shop.

Not sure I understand this. In a separate post you said you've ordered a Camptown....so why are you still looking for a hatter? :? Regards! Michaelson

As I want to get my akubra and another straw hat looked at, the akubra reblocked and the straw one which i believe is about 20 years old need a serious overhaul to return it to its former glory..In truth i dont want to have hats sent over continents to steve for example to have them blocked. And also the straw has huge sentimental value.....it would not be worth it.

We may have a plan for our European fans. We have a friend and COW member over there that has plans of building my line of hats, along with offering reblocking and refurbishiments. Still in the planning stages, but one day the Adventurebilt 2 will go into operation in Europe. Germany to be exact. I will not make one red cent from this European Adventurebilt. It is his ball of wax. He will have my block shapes, my sweats, my felt and my liners, although he will add his own flourish to the liner, to make it distinctively his own. He is a good friend of mine, and we share something in common other than being obsessed with Indiana Jones. We both love the Indy fedora and feel that only a diehard Indy fan can make it right. I know, I know, this is rather presumptious, but what other hatter has stared at the Indy fedora for thousands of hours?

I made the offer to our good friend several months ago, and I would not have offered it to just anyone. You have to be obsessed with the Indy fedora in order to qualify. He is. I will leave it to him to make his official announcement. The world is a big place, and once(hopefully), the next Indy film comes out, there is no way that I could handle the demand. I work 7 days a week now on hats. So, things wil be easier in the future for our European fans, seeking a good Indy fedora. See, you guys, my interest has always been for us Indy fans. I aim to take care of us, first. You guys know my story. I was just tired of spending good money on hats that were either too expensive, or not accurate enough to suit my eye. My same felt is sold by some other companies for 450.00 and up. That is the going rate for the pure beaver, from my feltmaker. To once again explain to the new guys, I wanted to handmake a hat, like the ones coming from small hatters back in the day, and make it as accurate to the Raiders fedora as possible, while using the best felt available, and high quality components. I have priced these beaver hats really low, comparitively, although it is still a chunk of change. But, worth every cent. regards, Fedora

Thats brillent, Germany is a LOT closer, And probably more managable for myself....Although its still a disgrace i cant find a hatter that deals with fedoras in my own country

I did hear that indy 4 is to go ahead and a script is has been decided on and will soon go into post production......although Speilberb may be pre booked on a 'alice in wonderland' Movie ](*,) ..........with war of the worlds Dakota Fanning....................after the movie on the 19 something something Olympics. he cant keep the scedule free

WOW! If I ever move to Europe, I know where I can buy my hats now! And I think I know who the maker will be, and if I'm right, it's a good thing!
