Well here it is after my first attempt at the TOD look. Please post recommendations and comments and I will try and fix it. I have tried to attach pictures at key angles. Image

Very nice shape !!

It looks like the one in the brigde-scene or on the video-cover and I love that shape.

Is it just me, or does the bow seem too.."tight?"

I like the shape though! Nice to see someone around here isn't anti-TOD!! :D

The bow is tight. Thats the way it came, I'm sure I will get my courage up to fix it sometime.

The bows on Akubras are very tight. They all come that way. It is an easy fix if you were ever motivated. I never fixed mine. I kind of like it.

It is a very nice looking hat. I would like to see you wearing it. That is the best way to tell what a hat looks like. Still, it definitely looks like a bridge-scene Indy fedora.

Anyone know where that ribbon tutorial is?

Is that hat a 100% Beaver?

I do like the pinch... very ToD. Can we get some side shots of Harrison's fed in ToD? I think that it might be better to make the back lower, like make the dent in the back lower, but I don't know if that's only in Raiders that it's deeper like that... perhaps in ToD the back is just like you've got it, but I'm not sure. I haven't looked into Temple of Doom very deeply at all... I just know that I have to rip off a sleeve on my Cabela's to get the shirt right.

Ohhh man !!!! I've tried to get the perfect Raiders-look for hours, but now I think I'll get a ToD-style, because you didn't have the TAPER-problem!

Indy McFly,

I am not sure how low my back should go. If you find any pics that show that angle in TOD please post for me to reference.

Nice hat and a good hat. I am still fond of my Akubras. Remember, the best rabbit fur still comes from Australia!! Nothing better in a rabbit hat, than to use wild rabbit and hare. And this comes from a guy who sells rabbit hats too. regards, Fedora

Fedora,

The main reason I went with a TOD style on this one is because I have already decided to buy a Raiders style from you sometime in the near future. Thanks too for the nice comments. They mean allot coming from "The Man"!

Great job!! Now I really can't wait for mine to get here. Ther is a ribbon tutorial. Go to the main Indygear.com page. Under STAFF, go to dalexs. There is a link in his bio.

Thanks Prairie,

I know you will do a great job on yours. I am still trying to decide about the ribbon though.

Good Luck.

I think the ribbon looks good. It's much darker than the one in the picture on hatsdirect.com. So is the hat overall. I'm happy to see that.

I like the way you've done the pinch. Relaxed, very ToD-ish. We'd like to see some pics of the lid on your head, though, because that is the great equalizer. The hat always looks better on you than it does on a table. Perhaps emulate a Temple pose? That helps. It looks rather "bridge scene" if you ask me.
