AB Bogey?

Post by crazylegsmurphy »

Hey,

Just wondering if Fedora ever made a AB Bogey Style? I just got done watching Casablanca and Maltese Falcon, and I think it would be cool to have a Gray Bogey....

He does several 40's style hats besides the Indy, (no bound edge, though), so I'd say the chances are pretty darn good he can. Regards! Michaelson

Murphy, I wonder that every time I see a Bogey movie. Just when I think I want a Raiders gray, I see Bogey and change my mind. :)

Hmmm, thats good to know because he is really the only one I trust to get the style right.

I would though, like to try bashing my own. I think it would be fun to try. Anyone have an idea of the cost for a gray AB with only the ribbon put on?

Do you not want a liner and sweatband? I also believe that he charges the same for a prebashed or open crown hat.

Ya, I would still want them, but it would make sense to shape it then sew them in, no? I assume it takes a bit of steaming, so you wouldn't want to subject the sweat and liner to that much moisture right?

From my experience, the sweatband and liner don't seem to have problems with steam and such.

After all, when you buy an open-crowned hat, such as an Akubra Federation, it comes open-crowned and with the sweatband and liner already in. That tells you something right there.

hmmm...Hmmm I say!

Well seeing as I'll be near homeless in a few weeks, I should look at getting another hat so I can look like a stereotypical hobo! :D

Actually, I have an old (1800-1900) sewing machine table that I am going to try and sell on Ebay, if it goes for an ok price I'll be getting an gray AB on the spot!

I would probably see if Fedora would get any pleasure out of blocking a Bogey, and if he would, I would just let him do it. I mean I would have fun, but it doesn't seem right to deny him the pleasure if he would take it, ya know.
