New Wested from e-bay of all places.

Post by DanielJones »

Greetings!

Reading all the posts about Wested Indy Jackets just compelled me to get one. So I had been perusing the Wested site and was looking at the prices and thought that they were quite reasonable. Then on an off chance I decided to check one of my favorite haunts E-Bay. Wouldn't you know it, I found a new Wested Indy TOD cut in a dark brown in my size from a gentleman in Rochester NY. The exact jacket I was going to order. And as luck would have it, it had a Buy it Now option. $185 out the door! I couldn't pass that deal up. What a find!! I will post pictures when I can figure out how. Anyway, what a wonderful jacket. Thanks to all who talked up the Wested. Take Care, and I'll chat at y'all soon.

You wouldn't believe the luck. He had just posted the auction about a half hour earlier. E-Bay can be a fickle beast. Sometimes you luck out and most of the time you get hosed in the last few seconds. I've lost out on a few great hats by mere pennies, and of course have landed great deals such as the Wested. Anyway, good to hear from you, take care.

That sounds like a great deal and I bet it was a member here who was probably cleaning out their closet.

BTW, if you need help posting pictures, let me know.

I thought this gentleman was a COW or a Fedora Lounge member myself, so I asked him. He said that he lurked around a bit but that was about it. He even had a U.S. Wings Indy Jacked up for auction that was a few sizes smaller than what I got. Someone else got that one a week later.
Like I've said in a previous post I will post some pics once I get the hang of it and have some pics to post. I would greatly appreciate some help in being able to post pics. Do they need to be sent to a sight or can I post them like an e-mail attachment off of my computer? Thank you Hemingway.
BTW this person in NY will also be auctioning a MK VII bag in the near future. Hope to get my hands on that one as well.

Take care,

Dan

You'll have to upload them to Internet. Photobucket and Imageshack are nice.
