Whip Cracking on St. Louis' FOX 2 NEWS

Post by Canasta »

I thought some of you might be interested.
I'll be doing some whip cracking on St. Louis' FOX 2 News this coming Friday, June 3rd.
It's gonna be on the Tim Ezell show.
It's gonna be early starting around 6:45 am and running through 8 am I think. 4, three minute segments.
AND It's gonna be LIVE!
I know Tim is real eager to get involved, so I'm sure we'll be doing some target work etc.
Can you say "#!@@!##!!" on live t.v. Here's hoping I'm good and awake and Tim stands good and still.

Hopefully, this will aid in getting people acquainted with the St. Louis area "whip-nik". (The next one is scheduled for July 10th in Fenton)
I'll be throwing a word out.
For COW too.

Tune in.
All the best.
Canasta
oh yeah.
keep your fingers crossed ... Thanks

PS,
There was a little snippet regarding me whip crackingin the River Front Times in St. Louis today (June 1) in the "Get Baked" Section.

You can read it online here.

PSS
Ther is a small article coming out in the Chicago Tribune's Q Section (a sunday section) regarding a show I did near Chicago and a recent (April 29th) Guinness Record Attempt. It has not run yet ... as far as I know.

I think it's fantastic that you are getting the sport of whip handling out to the masses in so many mediums. Perhaps it will catch on enough that we won't have to travel so far to get a group of people together. Best of luck to you and let us hear how things went. Best regards, Jay

I know this is a little late, but Chris did an amazing Job!!!

I got to see it "behind the scene's" and the neat thing was that in between every segment, tim ezel and the camera guy, and the guy in the van all grabbed a whip and cracked away until the next segment. They had a lot of fun. Plus Chris even plugged the upcoming whip-nic on July 10th.

Evidently that show has an average viewer ship of 68,000.

If anyone can host some video, I took some clips of almost all the segments.

Great Job Chris!!!

Hey everybody,
Thanks for the interest and the nice words.
I had a really great time on the show. I was a bit nervous because it was all live and unrehersed.
Hopefully, someone will see something new.

MJ — I'm really sorry that I missed you and A5 in Chi Town. I had a really great time hanging with you last summer and a real fine time with A5 the summer before last. You both have incredible collections. I wish I cold have seen the both of you together. The funny thing is though ... The one thing I enjoyed the most was looking at your maps of your vacations. I really loved the way you take the time to archive things. I wish I did.

Looking forward to seeing you again when you are in the area.
You too Jason. OR when I'm in your area.

Peace,
Canasta - AKA Chris Camp - The Whip Guy

PS
Thanks P-diddy
