A quick search of the Fedora forum for Camptown will show you the specs. Remember it is classic brown fedora that can become an Indy hat, NOT a direct replica. Its most aptly considered a beaver blend answer to the Akubra Deluxe.

Thanks

I wore mine (the one pictured) on an 'adventure' yesterday during a surprise outing with my daughters for Father's Day. They took me to the Tennessee Railway Museum in Chattanooga, and I rode behind Consolidation 2-8-0 steam location number 630, the last Baldwin locomotive built by Baldwin in 1952. I also prowled around the small yards looking for a particular steam locomotive among several in storage (I found it, by the way). The Camptown performed to perfection (cool on my head with the ventilated sweatband), and withstood the continuous shower of coal dust and embers from the locomotive. (Of COURSE we rode in the open window car! If you can't smell the coal smoke and creosote, why bother?  ) Garnered a LOT of nice comments on my hat. The girls took a lot of photos, so if I'm lucky, maybe the'll send them to me electronically and we'll get one posted here of me, my Camptown, and a locomotive! Stay tuned!

High regards! Michaelson

A group of us once rode the "Chattanooga Choo Choo" from Atlanta to Chattanooga and back. Spent some time in the open viewing car. By the end of the day I felt like I had been sand blasted. Great experience, though.

The TRM is actually a different 'road'! I thought it was the same train that ran out of the 'Choo-choo', but it isn't. They're located north of the city. WELL worth the trip if you're ever down that way.

Like I said, soon as I have the photos, we'll do what's needed to post 'em so you can see a Camptown in action. (grins)

JJ, you may need to create a new ad. Your auction, and ad, fell off the charts. Regards! Michaelson
