A handy pocket Atlas for your MKVII.

Post by Feraud »

I was snooping through my wife's bookshelf(keep that part quiet) and I came across this. A quick glance told me it was something I need to carry around in my mkvii. It is a leatherbound pocket atlas. It has blank pages, distance charts, weight & measures, world weather, etc.

Who is the publisher of the book? I wouldn't mind having one myself.

No offence taken Texas Raider!! It's all about sharing the gear and info.!!

Btw, the atlas I "borrowed" from my wife is stamped with a Chase bank logo. She probably received it back then while working at her bank.

Thanks for the tip. It would a great addition to the bag. By the way, did you swipe the atlas from your wife's bookshelf?

Those are cool. I could have really used one traveling in Central America. Excellent find.

Hmmm, I should ask my mom if she's seen anything like this. She works for Chase (or should I say Bank One since the merge, they are having to adapt to most of Bank One's employee standards while retaining the Chase name).

Go for it, ITG. It would not hurt to ask and you might get lucky!

She said she'd never seen one but said it sounded it neat, saying perhaps it was another department or branch that had them specially made.

Feraud:
Cool piece of gear. Thanks!

As usual, I arrived late to this thread, but if anyone is still looking for an atlas ...
And want to spend a little less (like me), I came across the following:
http://www.maps.com/product.aspx?nav=MS ... &pid=11118#

Notes: I know it's not leatherbound (and therefore extremely cool like Feraud's great find :cry: )... and & it's only 160pp;
it is almost 1/3 the price ($16.95) :)

Although I am tempted to get the calfskin version of the atlas above ... got to start saving for my Golden Idol ... :wink: :)
