this hat was mentioned by steve a couple of months ago and i wanted to thank him on his home turf.

well i finally have photos of my neonoir adventurebilt fedora that steve made for me with much skill and above all patience. see i am too fussy, so we mailed it back and forth until he achieved the exact style, shape and fit that my cranky old self desired.

steve, sorry for giving you such a hard time. thanks for making me a wonderful hat.
gotta take better photos.

winky d.

ps yes it is on a snow shovel. i live in vermont.

Nice fed, another great job by Steve. :)

BTW, from the way you talk about "the look" of it, it seems that you were striving for an exact "look" from a film or something? Or were you just looking for a "classic bash" so to speak?

well that is a good question. it was meant to be a cross between the alan ladd “this gun for hire” fedora and the dick powell “murder my sweet” fedora. but you know that within one film, the same fedora will change and look different from scene to scene. right now i am watching “fallen angel” on fox movie network and my hat looks like the one worn by dana andrews. so maybe it’s a what i call a neonoir, a classic ‘40’s neonoir.    and thanks.

Whatever the look of your hat right now, it looks GREAT!!!!!!!! Fedora appears to have a real knack for bashing these hats; now I have got to get a grey 'Bogie' fedora.............all that overtime.....uggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
