Secret pocket
I've made a small modification to my
Wested pre-distressed cow hide ToD jacket
and thought you guys and girls might be interested.
I ordered it with the larger LC inner pocket just in
case I actually get time to make a grail diary.
Now the thing is that my ipod made a ugly
lump very low on the jacket and the thought of
my lucky zippo from Relic Raider rubbing against
the ipod didn't please me. (I know the zippo is supposed to be in the left pocket )
So I bought a zipper and sewed it in to the
inner pocket, about half way down, this way creating
a secret pocket accessible only by opening the zipper
at the bottom of the (now regular sized) inner pocket.
The secret pocket contains the lucky zippo
(I stopped smoking before I bought it so it's
for good luck) + money when there's pickpockets around.
The top pocket is occupied by my number one gadget: the 40Gb ipod.

I didn't, all I bought was the zipper. The lining is the pocket it self. I turned the pocket inside out then stuffed a little less than half back inside. I fastened the zipper with pins. I then opened the zipper and sewed it in place, the last bit by hand as the sewing machine couldn't get in to that last corner.dakine wrote:Ingenious, where did you find the matching lining material?
I'm glad that all of you liked it but as I mentioned I don't have a grail diary and therefore don't know if it will fit in the zipper modified pocket.
Swindiana, what a clever wordplay. I wish I had thought of it, a better name than "secret pocket" AND more fun!
