Just ordered my first Wested (Updated, now with pics!)
I'm so nervous! I hope I typed in all the specifications right.
I got a Raiders model, cotton lining. I measured myself from the seam of a jacket I was wearing to where I wanted the cuff to stop at, and it turns out I have some very short arms. 21.5" is what I measured from shoulder to cuff. I gave myself that extra half an inch for breathing room. I'll post pics as soon as I get it! Anyone have any idea how fast these things take to get to you?
Regards,

ive heard around a month...possibly 3 weeks if it's fast? but that's only from what ive read...i could remember/have read wrong =)
out of curiosity..which leather did you go for? im figuring out the specs for my first wested (intending on having only one...though alot of you guys seem to have wardrobes full of them)
Currently im tossing between lamb and goat. lamb for the look and feel..goat for durability. leaning towards lamb though seeing as im not going to go through the jungle and whatnot...and i figure it should stand up to the urban environment fairly well =P

Depending on if they are swamped in work or not and if they have your hide of choice and size, they should be able to keep their promise.6. How long is delivery?
As each jacket is custom made and not of the shelf we quote a maximum of 21 days to despatch plus 2/3 days delivery on a tracked system which will require a signature.
Fingers crossed, right?

My jacket is being cut today!
Peter finally got the lamb shipment he was waiting for and Gemma told me that mine went to the cutter today. I ordered more than three weeks ago but the lamb shipment was overdue. Peter told me that there might be a delay, so not problem there at all. This is why I ordered in spring/summer. I have plenty of time to get it before cool whether starts in Louisiana.

Haven't really left
I haven't really left, just hadn't signed in or posted for awhile. Unlike Indy, I HAVE to stay and grade term papers and final exams.

That's what I have, Strider. I am sure you will love it. It looks so "Raiders" right out of the package. They break in nicely too. Mine is a year and a half old and has conformed to my body nicely. I am looking forward to seeing some pictures when it arrives.Strider wrote:Dre,
I opted for the authentic brown lambskin. The first option. Thanks for the nice comments fellas. I'll post pics just as soon as I have them. Hopefully better pics than I usually take

Strider, you don't look the same as your photo's on your web site? Love the last photo but a little to tapered for my taste.
I sold my soul to Bink..er, I mean..The Devil.Indiana_Tone wrote:Jacket's looking perfect!
In regards to that last hat pic: Strider, how did you manage to get HF's original movie hat out for a pic? It looks slightly faded. I'm sure it's much brighter in person but the green looks a little off. Must be the outdoor lighting. Amazing what film lighting will do to a hat.
