Paul Nolan Indy Whip!! (My first Indy Whip!)
finally,
after years of waiting ive got the whip I have been waiting for.
Ive known paul for a while, and I knew that when i ordered I would 100% get what i was looking for. Here it is let me know what you think.
Its 8 feet long and is made from a Dark brown hide. These pictures are of the whip without shellac. It looks GREAT! I am 100% happy.....
Its the 2 one over in the first picture. I should also add that the pictures are of the whip compared to pauls collection not mine . The one on the left in the first pic is a morgan, and the ones on the right are all strains.
Thanks paul!
Regards!

Paul Nolan Indy Whip!! (My first Indy Whip!)
G'day!
Paul can also be contacted here via PM or vrt10whips@yahoo.com as well as the previous email mentioned. I would give you his phone number but I will have to find out off him if that's ok first. Anyway's he's a fine young whipmaker and a top bloke too at that! Don't worry about this young fella as a whipmaker he'll make the grade no worries! I have a lot of respect for this bloke. He rang me several years ago (at 4am I might add) to introduce himself. He has asked lots of questions from heaps of whipmakers and he cracks whips as well, which goes along way in learning what a whip needs to have a good fall. (not fall as in part of the whip) I don't often say things on any list but I have a lot of faith in this young fella, so give his whips a go and im sure you wont be disappointed in his gear!

Re: Paul Nolan Indy Whip!! (My first Indy Whip!)
Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the kind words. And Janine, Mate, that means a lot! Especially with how nice your whips are. They really are Formula One Whips! ) You are the reason I don't even try to sell stockwhips. I only make them if someone wants them made by me particularly, and I make some for myself to practice patterns with sometimes.
The email I'm working on getting everything going to eventually is midwestwhips@yahoo.com
Also, the direct link to my temp page at gldenterprises is www.gldenterprises.net/paulnolan.htm (I just checked this link, and for some reason it is down, dunno why. Here is a link to the shopping page that has some pictures of my work, even though those pictures are at least a couple years old.) http://www.gldenterprises.net/Shopping.htm
I have had the domain www.midwestwhips.com for a while now, and I have been working on a site for just as long. Actually longer. It's gone through about 6 versions from scratch and I'm so pickey with it that I couldn't be happy. Now I'm close to finished with the version I'm working on now, and I realized that I'll never be completely happy, so it will do for now, and I will rework it as time goes on.
If anyone has any questions about anything, feel free to email me at any of the three email addresses. And if anyone wants to see any other more recent pictures of my work, just email me and ask what you'd like to see. I took janine's advice when we first started talking, and I've been trying to keep pictures of every whip I've made since then.
Regards,
Paul Nolan

I've met Paul in person twice now and I just gotta say that Paul is one heck of a whipmaker. In fact, he's so dedicated to his craft that he actually took completely apart a new 10 ft. Joe Strain bullwhip just to see how it was made. So if you buy a Midwest whip you can bet that there's a really solid design behind it. He's also made hundreds of whips for Western Stage Props, so he has a lot of experience.
