Where do you hang your AB?

Post by Luisiana Jones »

Question for you guys, when i get back home i keep my AB in the box where it came in, but is it a good place to keep your lid that one? which is the best place to hang your fedora when its not on your head?

Thx for the help guys, Luis

I'd keep my hat anywhere but in the original box. Jeez, anywhere is just fine, isn't it? It's not breakable, right?

WHY is it that so many people treat these hat's with waaaaaaay more care than is necessary?

I have designated wall-mounted hook for my hat and jacket. Nothing else goes on these hooks. I recently mad a wall-mounted "hat rack" for my Grey Miller and Akubra fedoras.

I am currently working on a room addition of a den/computer/guitar room, and in the corner next to the wall where my guitars will hang I'm setting up a hat rack that will hold my Wested jacket, my MKVII bag, gunbelt with holster and whip, and, majestically topping it all off will be my "Well of Souls" 100% Beaver Adventurebilt. Hmmm... can you tell I've given this some thought? :-k

I hang my AB over my bed post. Its nice and round so it doesn't distort the crown or brim. :)

There's never a time when it isn't on my head.

I usually just set it on my countertop or something like that, perhaps the back of my chair when it's not in use. It's a hardy hat , it can take a beating, so I'm not worried about where I set it down when I'm not wearing it.

I place my AB on my bust of Ceasar - it gives him a little more class with the AB on.

Mine either hangs off the edge of my dresser or sits atop my Wested hanging on the end of the bannister.

I've been wondering the same thing. (or close at least)
I sit mine on the back of a "puffy" arm chair so the brim still bends down.

I've been trying to design a display/hanger for my hat and some of the other gear (like the bag and maybe whip) that shows the hat from a forward angle and not from the top (like hung on a peg) where it isn't as distinct looking. I'll post if I ever make one.

I use a foam bust (a foam head model thingy) that you would find in a hair-suplly store, and what people put their wigs on.

Mine sits atop a vintage style radio. My other one sits on top of a small box that came from India and houses my passport. My akubra sits atop a hatbox, which holds my panama.
