Hey, he OWES you, buddy. Why SHOULDN'T he keep you happy, considering the number of hats you're pushing out the door with his felt? :D

Thanks, my friend. Got to save my pennies for one of these. '

That photo you posted with the brown ribbon really caught my eye!

 I know what you mean. But, I ain't going anywhere, and plan on making Indy hats until it starts to get old. Then, I will close shop and just wear em'. :D I figure I got a couple more years in me, maybe less. Still a very satisfying hobby these days. Ok, enough banter on the board for today. Time to head to the hatshop and indulge in my hobby for the next 10 hours. (I take numerous guitar breaks as my hat shop also has my mini studio in it at the other end.) So today/tonight, I will finish two hats, and make some southernfried racket. Kill two birds with one stone.(or maybe even more birds, if I leave my shop door open. Turn the amp up, and hit a particular high note, like Ella used to do for the memorex commercials,) Do that and you will see all of these little birds explode in a burst of feathers.  Fedora

Steve, you're not allowed to quit making hats until I can afford to buy a full dozen, which means you better be around for a good long while! I just hope you never get tired of the hobby!

TOADS, did someone say TOADS! Time for some more yodels! :D
Did Steve say, he has a couple of more years of making hats in him? A couple more years, as in two? I had better buy a lifetime of hats in the next few years! :D

I think you're missing the point, HJ. His hats are SUPPOSED to last a lifetime, so you only really need one! (and this coming from a fellow who also lusts for them himself! ) Regards! Michaelson

Oh, i get the point and I realize that his hats will last, but there is no end to my ambition for his hats. I have two of his, both SOC. Next I want a LC Venice pier maybe in gray. If I got one in gray, I'll want one in brown. I also want a Raven Bar. I don't have one of those, but can you get a Raven Bar without getting an Idol Grab, I don't think so! IT NEVER ENDS!!!

Never ends is right, I am just getting started and am worried. Fedora has a grey body for me to discuss shaping when I finish my current travels, and I have a Montecriste in the works from Robert Weber. All the while, my newly acquired Raven Bar still sits peacefully back at home brand new as I continue to explain to my wife that I actually need and have a need for each of these hats...
