Raiders Jacket

I own a TOD and a LC jacket and I am debating whether I should order a Raiders from Wested to complete the series. I'll run this poll for seven days and then weigh my decision based on the collective consensus. Great thanks!

If you want a Riaders jacket then by all means get one.

Actually, I been think about getting one myself. I love my TOD but I would kinda like to keep it looking pretty nice for everyday wear. I would like to have a Raiders that I can use hiking without having to worry about beating it up. I'm really torn between a Raiders jacket and a pair of Aldens.

The Aldens are as expensive as the jacket...I'll never understand that, and as such, I would get the jacket over the boots anyday.

I'm not sure I understand the nature of the question, really.

It seems to me that whether you order a Raiders jacket or not should be based on your own opinion. Do you want a Raiders jacket? Need a Raiders jacket?

The "Raiders jacket" is really exactly the same as the TofD jacket except a bit shorter in the body - no other differences.

I voted no, just to be different.

Although the Raiders and ToD do have very different collars - I actually greatly prefer the ToD style collar.

And as to the length...well Wested make a lot of jackets and they don't seem to worry about getting length right to the millimeter.
My Raiders and ToD are basically the same. I've read this in other peoples posts as well, so if length is the reason you are considering I wouldn't bother.

SAB, its the LC that has the different collar. The Raiders and ToD collars are the same.

If not then I'll reiterate: I already own a TOD and LC jacket and I am debating whether to get a Raiders jacket to COMPLETE the set (you know, one jacket from EACH movie!). I know the differences in the jackets, and it's not a question of wanting or needing another jacket that will get minor use. It was a question that was suppose to help in my decision making process as to whether I will round out my collection of jackets. It wasn't meant to start a discussion, it is, after all, only a poll. The only answer that I was looking for was the "Yes" or "No" in the poll. From a collectors point of view then I should get a Raiders jacket. From a practical point of view then, no I shouldn't simply because I have two jackets already (TOD & LC). Herein lies the dilemma.

Yes, I read the question ij1936.

I see you meant owning three jackets, one representing each movie.

But the Raiders jacket and the Temple jacket are just the same, except the Temple is a tad longer (But only if we are guided by 'off the peg' sizes - someone with a long back measurement ordering a custom 'Raiders' may end up with a jacket even longer than a 'Temple of Doom'!).

If you're mainly a collector, then yes, all three jackets should be hanging in your closet. If you're thinking about getting one to 'round things out', I agree with Al. You have a TofD jacket...you're not really gaining anything in the purchase of a Raiders version. Regards. Michaelson

ob1al I am sorry for the rude reply.

I took what you said in a condecending way and I realize now that was not your intention. I have decided not to buy another jacket even though the collector in me wants to. My practical side has won out and I really don't want to waste the money on what is essentially the same as my TOD. I appreciate everyone's input and my dilemma has been resolved!
