Unless you want to start a flame war, you have to search the archives for the answers. Each company has their highs and their lows.

Wested in my opinion. They are even offering horsehide.

Flightsuits customer service has gone down (word has it) since Dave left, and US Wings has much to be desired in way of products and service.

I think we are all capable of having a discussion like this without it deteriorating into a heated argument. 8-[ :-s Aren't we?

Seriously, we can all disagree without being disagreeable.

That being said, as cover, get a Wested. It's the original; it's custom; and, as ITG said, they now have horsehide. :D

Since I have only ever owned a Wested I can only suggest it!
The jacket looks good, feels good, and is the original Indiana Jones jacket.
What more could you want? :)

Koreana

If your post is in jest then go get a disney jacket. If serious I think everyone is right and Wested is the way to go now since Dave Marshall has left flightsuits it doesnt seem to be as custom anymore - I know they wouldn't make an expedition for me and that was when I was visiting the store in person. They said just the sizes I saw on the rack!

How are you doing anyway? What you been up to?

Koreana, I would suggest instead of wasting your money on a leather jacket, you should head to your local nursery and pick up a nice shrubbery! Hope this helps!

Answer me these questions three....

WHAT is your name?

WHAT is your favorite color?

WHAT is the average velocity windspeed of the unlaiden swallow?

Good to hear from you!

Although 47 of the 74 worldwide swallow species are found in Africa, only two species are named after the continent: the West African Swallow (Hirundo domicella) and the South African Swallow (Hirundo spilodera), also known as the South African Cave Swallow.

Since the range of the South African Swallow extends only as far north as Zaire, I felt fairly confident that this was the non-migratory African species referred to in previous discussions of the comparative and cooperative weight-bearing capabilities of African and European swallows.

Kinematic data for both African species was difficult to find, but the Barn or European Swallow (Hirundo rustica) has been studied intensively, and kinematic data for that species was readily available.

Although a definitive answer would of course require further measurements, published species-wide averages of wing length and body mass, initial Strouhal estimates based on those averages and cross-species comparisons, the Lund wind tunnel study of birds flying at a range of speeds, and revised Strouhal numbers based on that study all lead me to estimate that the average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour.

For those looking for additional answers, the four capitals of Assyria were Ashur (or Qalat Sherqat), Calah (or Nimrud), the short-lived Dur Sharrukin (or Khorsabad), and Nineveh. The ruins of all four ancient cities fall within the modern state of Iraq.

I've thought about this topic for a long time now and for a first time buyer I would really recommened you go with a Wested. I have a 5 year old pre-distressed cowhide and it's been the best jacket I've ever had. I've often thought about getting a second, lighter jacket for spring and summer wear and have entertained the idea of going with a Flighsuits. The reason being is that I want something different from my Wested, and FS seems like a good alternative. That being said, Wested continues to offer different hides and custom service that can't be matched by any other Indy jacket maker. I find myself waffling on whether or not to go with them again, but for your first jacket, go Wested.

Ok, Wested if you want pefect authentic and fited. Something else if you can settle for decent copy and not fitted to you. If it wasn't for the $200 US Wings sale (that I seemed to be one of the lucky ones) I wouldn't have a jacket at all. I probably would have saved up for the Wested.
