Ageing Plastic Airsoft Guns

Although airsofts are OK on shape they do look, well, kind of plasticky.
Has anyone got experience of "ageing" them so they look worn and more authentic ? Can they pass on some pointers please ?

You could always repaint it.

You can use standard acrylic spray paints to get a great look on most airsoft guns. Cheap and easy.

Alternatively, buy a little tin of humbrol silver paint and add a bit of weathering here and there on the gun, as if the metal is showing through. I've aged quite a few guns and blasters like this and it always looks very effective - and its easy too. :)
