Post by Erri »

Hello everybody, i just registered in your nice forum. Glad to be part of it. I hope you will like me too.

I'm an indy fan but this is not my only passion, most of my interests are about cinema, maybe you will notice that in time. Anyway i grew up with Harrison, i have an american poster of the Last Crusade on my door.

I discovered indygear long time ago, and thank to you folks i become nuts for indy gear  I love your website a lot, thanks to the people who created it.

Some months ago i found on ebay my first (and till now last) indy hat, i bet for you it's not great at all but i love it (it's a 1984 licensed stetson). Then i found a similar indy shirt near home, in a shop and i just ordered a MkVII gas mask bag from England, it should be here for next week. I really think i will buy others nextly.
I could put pics of my gear soon if you are interested.

Thank you everybody

Erri_wan

PS sorry for my mistakes but i'm not from an English country

First, ensure the image is online somewhere, like on a webpage, or in an online photo album.

Then, when you make your post, you will notice a whole bunch of tags above the bos where you type your message.

Click in the tag that says Img. It inserts a piece of code into your post. Then post the URL of where the image is online. Then click the Img tag again to close the code.

When you publish your post, there will be that image in the post.

thanks a lot Renderking Fisk, i'm just sendic pics of my hat and the shirt and the jacket. When i will be able to get my own space on web i will show you more.

Few words about ...
The Hat... bought on ebay, 1984 Stetson licensed, quite nice. Reminds of the Stetson Nostalgia
The shirt... quite anonimous maker, italian, bought in a shop here for 35 euro, very good tessue
The Jacket... black leather from my grandfather's wardrobe. It's not like indy one but it reminds me of my grannie so i love that jacket anyway and i use it for my indywear

Welcome to Club Obi Wan, Erri_Wan.

I'm sure you'll have a great time here.

BTW, don't worry about your English. It's fine (and far better than my Italian).

I am amazed that shirt was sold in a shop in Italy. That is a pretty good looking shirt.

About the shirt, it has just a little problem, it hasnt the flaps on the shoulders (i hope they are called flaps) like indy one, a part from this it's quite nice.

About the jacket, if you can understand the manufacturer you are GREAT http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y157/e ... G_0774.jpg
there is a little hole that make it hard to read.
Anyway i think the jacket is from 70s, italian i bet.

You know what? I haven't heard that in years. I used to get that all of the time. But now that he is not as famous as he once was, I never hear it. I have been stopped and begged for an autograph. Then, when I said I wasn't him, they didn't believe me! That's so funny you should point that out. :D

Hey, Hemingway, you should've given them an autograph, anyway! Heck, it would've made their day, even if they didn't know the truth!

The closest I ever got was a group of people who said I was the guy who stole their wallets after a group hug. I told them it wasn't me, but they insisted, you know?

You're much better off, believe me! "Robin Hood" was probably his most famous film. "Broken Arrow" was the only film I can think of that he did that I liked.

I didn't realize he was in some of those. :)

Tucker was a good movie, didn't have much of CS in it though. Windtalkers was pretty good to.

Nice MkVII Erri. :)
