Adventurebilt in charcoal beaver

Post by jeff »

Just got my Adventurebilt from Steve today! Whahoo! It's absolutely fantastic!

I *love* the charcoal color. It is truly charcoal -- a very dark grey. And as greys will do, it takes on the hue of surrounding lights. For instance, in incandescent lights, it varies from looking almost black to a hint of coffee brown color. A really neat effect!

Here are a couple pix:

Me with hat on

(I'm curious what y'all think. Does it go with the shape of my face?)

Hat under incandescent light - Note how it brown it appears! (warning, big pic, but shows the fineness of the Beaver felt)

Hat taken with camera flash on -- truly gray, indeed, the flash makes it look lighter than it really is

Thanks Steve - I really love it! You are the master. :)

Jeff, which side is the bow actually on? On two pics it switches sides. :?

(Either way, it IS a breathtaking hat!) :D

Ahh... oops - sorry about that, the dangers of taking self portraits in the mirror :). In the non-mirror universe, it's on the correct side.

About the brown cast - A low-wattage light bulb really alters the color. Look at the first picture of me, my face is orange!

I'll try and take a photo or two in the daylight today.

Thanks all, for he comments!

Another beautiful Adventurebilt! I am also amazed at how brown it looks in that one picture. That will be a great hat to wear with a navy suit.
