Wested shirts

Are the shirts suppose to be outragously baggy. I bought one and required a large because im farily tall but its way too baggy. Is the medium alot shorter / less baggy, or hopfully not too much shorter but less baggy. As well how come the wested shirt is white on the indy gear site but tan when you recieve it from wested lol.

From what was explained to me, the brown paper the shirt comes wrapped in tends to seep into the material during shipping, turning it the color it is when you open the package. I've not been able to confirm this, but the man wearing the hockey mask behind the meat counter at the local deli assured me this was absolutely true!

Actually, if the shirt was photographed under fluorescent lights, the color may APPEAR different than under regular bulbs/sunlight. I own a Wested, and it looks to be a pale cream color to me.

Also, I think Wested might have made them a wee bit darker than from the first batches, though I haven't seen one in person. I think someone mentioned this...

I have had a few Wested shirts and they are really light in color, like ecru. The bagginess of the shirt is because it is only offered in general sizes, i.e. small, medium,large, etc. I think if Peter would offer the shirts in dress shirt sizes like 16, 32/34, or 16 1/2, 32/34 etc. the fit would be better.

Take it to a tailor or seamstress and have it fitted. Fairly easy job.

Ultimately, this is the nature of mass produced items for an average body shape. If you're a little too tall, too short, have one arm longer than the other, are too porky or too thin... well, not many people get an off-the-shelf generic size that fits quite like it should. It's just the nature of these things. Sorry for being obvious here, but I just think it needs to be said.

The best thing would be to provide your measurements like with the jackets I think, though that would probably be the worst for the price of it.

I agree, Swindiana. Even if I was to run off to one of the nearby Asian countries to me here in Australia where labour is cheap and you can get tailor-made shirts relatively cheaply, it still wouldn't work out as cheap as people might think... even 'sweatshops' costs you when it comes to real tailor made, quality, material.
