FS Lamb
When I was talking to the customer service person at FS they indicated that the lamb was very delicate. I wear an Andrew Marc lamb that is pretty new, very soft but does not seem to be overly delicate. They steered me towards goat (which I know is very durable but does not drape the same) or cowhide (in their raiders jacket, not the expo)..so how delicate is the FS lamb, is it more delicate than the USW or the Wested lamb? Are these really too delicate for weekend wear, going to the store, maybe lifting some things that may need picking up? I don't want to be restricted in what I do or worry all the time about marring or ripping a jacket...thanks.

Lambskin is durable. No, it's not like granite rock or duranium alloy, but it sure does not have the structural integrity of Jell-O or wet newspaper. For some reason, the misconception of the "fragile lambskin" has been an issue on this board for a long time now. I too wear my ToD lamb on a daily basis and it holds up just fine.
Nobody - at least to my knowledge - on this board is actually Indiana Jones. No nazis do battle off, no dragging under trucks or severe beatings by thuggees... thus, our jackets are generally subject to "normal" wear. A lambskin jacket will last for ages if properly cared for.

Exactly. Its not that the lamb is an overly fragile leather, its just not as tough as goat or cow. The lamb is fine for everyday wear, going to the mall and such. However, its not strong enough to hold up to hard outdoor use. If your like me and always climbing over rocks and through dense patch of locust trees, then you'll need a goat or cow. But for going around town, to work, the mall, etc then the lamb is fine.
