My Wested Lamb is the lightest leather jacket imaginable. It also has this amazing stretch quality to it. As for durability; mine has held up well. I have had a couple of small 2 to 3 millimeter surface tears than I was able to glue back down. One was caused by an evil cat and the other was caused by this sharp twisted metal on a mailbox I leaned back on.
"Holy Rusted Metal, Batman!"
"What was that?"
"This metal is rusted and it has holes in it."
After I put a bead of Superglue and pressed the flap down, I challenge anyone to find the spot. As for scratching; there are a few, but they look good and are in line with Michaelson's school of natural distressing.
The bottom line on the Wested Authentic Lamb is that is is the essence of the Raiders jacket. It is the jacket from the film in an almost magical way. You feel as if you have that very jacket do to the tailoring, which is exceptional; the details, like pockets, lining, etc; and the Wested authentic lamb leather is so flat and smooth and of that perfect Raiders color. Believe me; it's transcendent!

I was really impresssed with the FS I almost purchased, but once again, and unfortunately, unless you go with made to measure (no longer available), the sleeves for my standard sizing were almost 2 inches to short!
I found it comparible in physical weight to any Wested or Wings I've owned, but found the grain to be much tighter on the FS. Like agent5 says, it gives the feeling of being a stronger leather due to the finer grain, and like him, I've never had problems with either the Wested OR Wings lambskins in tear resistance or weight.

What! You say made-to-measure is no longer available? Oh, yeah, I do recall them telling me that. Have I ever mentioned my futile attempts at trying to purchase another jacket in my ALREADY made-to-measure pattern that I had paid extra for just a short period prior to them deciding that they would no longer honor that part of their guarantee. Well, let me tell ya... ok, I guess I did mention that already in maybe a half a dozen posts or so. Never mind!
And what's this, lambskin tougher than nails!!! Whew, I didn’t know those woolly lil’ critters were capable of such tough hides. Maybe the jackets some of you got or seen came from lambs wandering off to graze in some nearby ‘spinach’ patch.
