Anyone have LC ribbon pics?

Post by Fedora »

I have looked through my saved photos and can't find a pic of the LC bow. I have got to put one on a hat and need to know what it looks like. I have always done the Raiders bow, (no pleats in the tie), as even LC lovers like the Raiders bow. Thanks for any help, or links. regards, Fedora

I can see about ripping some off the DVD if you like.

This is a tough one Fedora. LC used to be my favorite one from the trilogy and then I switched to Raiders. So the bad news is that there is much variation in LC. There's:
- Venice Pier Scene, my favorite
- Castle scene
- motorcycle scene
- University
- Donovan's library
- grail temple knight

All the above had variation.
This is the best I can do with getting the ribbon bow and lightening up for detail.

I've never seen an HJ in person but the ribbon in that last pic looks pretty close to the modern HJ ribbons.

Hmmm. I thought the LC had a pleat in the bow. Looks like the Raiders bow without the flying V. And, unlike the Raiders bow, it looks to be tacked in 4 places like the current HJ ribbons. Fedora

I have screen grabs of the hat on the table. The frame was real dark. Further attempts to lighten the shadows where the bow was provided little to no detail in that area. I could try again.

Thanks guys. I must say, that is one ugly bow. It looks like the slack was not pulled out of it when it was sewn onto the hat. But, now I know what it looks like. Oh, Jan, yeah, this is your hat. I am putting it together now and will mail this afternoon. :D Fedora

Don't use a smilie yet, Jan. After seeing these photos, he's probably using a glue gun to make the bow.  Regards. Michaelson

Down South here, we are apt to use JB Weld.  I did replicate the bow pretty good, but will know if it suits when Jan gets it. regards, Fedora
