We're expecting our first Wested!

Post by Feraud »

After much deliberation and measuring, I finally placed my order with Peter yesterday. It felt like I would never get my order in. Now the wait begins, I feel like I am expecting a child!
I have ordered a Raiders jacket in authentic brown lambskin. Cotton/satin body, tapered sleeves(I prefer a snug fit on the wrists), x-box stitching, 2pc. gussets, metal sliders and small zipper extending as far as possible to the bottom of the jacket.
I hope I remembered everything!

Sounds good :)
I am waiting for my TOD goat, and I can hardly wait to hold it, caress it, WEAR it... I am getting carried away ;)
This is a very exhilarating phase :)

Congratulations. Post pics when you have them.
Did Peter give you an ETA? It sounds, from recent posts, that the turn around time is about a month.

Jerry gave me an ETA of about three weeks (another week to go), if it doesn't arrive by the fourth week, I was told to give them a call.

OK, I am off for the weekend,...

Thanks, I will.
Peter did not give an ETA. Can't say as I blame him. I caught him yesterday evening when he was home! I felt like an idiot and offered to call back in the a.m. He was good enough to take my order anyway. Sounds like a very decent guy.
I sent an email today confirming the details.

It is official: I cannot wait for my Wested to arrive!
It has been 5 days since I placed my order. I am trying not to think about it but my brain inevitable goes back to The Jacket.

I keep telling myself, it is only a jacket, only a jacket..... ](*,)

I did the same...Jack Flander's suggestion was to stay off COW completely while waiting, so you don't drive yourself nuts...I'm pretty sure he was joking though, since he was on every day. ;) I couldn't stay off, either, so I put all my brain into digging through other gear items...unfortunately, most others come faster, so while waiting for my jacket I bought (and made) several other things...

...come on, what else are you looking for? ;)

Actually, I find this waiting period quite exhilarating... staying here at Club Obi-Wan and reading through all the jacket postings gives me the warm and fuzzy feeling of having made the right choice...
That very soon I will have one great jacket makes me feel giddy as a school boy, if I may say so... makes me wanna steal flowers from street vendors in Venice to put on my girlfriends jacket... makes want to go to Cairo... or to Shanghai, and of course hear Willie Scott sing at the fabulous "Club Obi Wan"-- so here I am, where is Willie?

This is MLM, signing off for the day, with some more incoherent babble ;)
