My first "Man-Purse"

These were $10 at Old Navy before Christmass, marked down to $5 after. It's a fleece woman's shoulder bag, the thin cotton lining is baby blue. (I could remove it, but I'd loose all the handy pockets in it) It seems to be the right size (11 tall by 12 inches wide) and kind of similar in construction. The adjustable nylon strap is more than long enough, 54 inches from end of hook to end of hook, max. I wear it for work, and it's handy. People get the Indy connection! I think of it as the bag Indy might wear with his suit and grey fedora.

Keep your eyes open though! I just bought a near mint MK VII on ebay for $7. LIke Michealson has said in the past, deals are out there, keep turning over rocks!

My first bag was self made out of an old canvas tent I had laying around. I got the idea originally from Backwoodsman magazine (check it out good stuff there). All hand sewn, with a piece of scrap leather for the strap. I still use it on a daily basis to carry stuff to work with me. Its a bit bigger than my Mk VII, and the only reason I carryit to work is, my job is filthy and Id rather not ruin my Mk VII.

I laughed out loud when I saw this post. My girlfriend has only called my indy-bag the "man purse."

I had for some time called my MKVII the "man bag" but I lost a bet over someting silly a few weeks ago and have since been forced to call it the "man purse." For most of us, I imagine it's just a matter of time.

So .. Horray for the MAN PURSE!

It's not a purse if you don't carry money in it. That's the big difference. Of course try explaining that to a 5 year old....

I know if I were a five year-old, I would try to steal it. I loved army bags as a kid. Wait... I still do!

I'm actually looking at "Tactical Man Purse" from Maxpedition. It's the Fatboy S model. The S version is designed to be slung over the left hip so a right handed user will still have access to their holster.

I'm really liking the Coyote Brown color.

The OD isn't bad either.

I'd be interested to know if anyone here is using one. If so let me know wat you think of it.
