White HJ liner? What's HJ up to?

Post by Neolithic »

Hey folks, good to see COW back online again!

I have an HJ with a black liner that I'd like to replace with a white HJ liner.
Do any of you guys know where one might be able to get one over the internet ?

I'd imagine it might be a little difficult... :?

I requested a white liner with my HJ, but it didn't have a crest! I emailed Kelly Ford at the HJ shop, and she sent me not one but three crests (it's just a sticker).

I would try emailing them. The contact is somewhere buried in old posts...try a search. I'll see if I can find that email address.

Peace,

Thanks, fellas.
I emailed their factory in Cambridge: enquiries@herbert-johnson.co.uk
We'll see if anything happens...

Just for your information. Herbert Johnson replied:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your email.
We found from customer feedback that people preferred the Black liners
rather than the White so we have for the moment stopped doing the White
ones.
We have some on order for the Indy hats because these are going back to
White linings but the liner will not be available until March.
If you can wait we will be able to help you in March.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Paul Vanoli
Interesting!

Yyiihaaa...

This is actually good news...

Think.. an Adventurebilt with all its qualities and a HJ liner and
chrest stuck inside and viola! You have got the ultimate Indy Hat
(huu... well... except for THE original one... )

I´ll better get round to order one of Steve´s great hats...

Best regards

JAN
