Ordering a wested...could use some suggestions

Post by RedburnIV »

Hey guys, Its been a while since i've really been into this hobby, but i'm getting more into it by the day, yet again, its a great feeling. I hope everyone here is having a good holiday. So, I'm going to be ordering my second wested jacket next week, as some of you know my 54-56 wested was huge on me, so i'm going to be ordering either a 50 or 52 long.
I've tried a 48 regular, and the back is tight, the sleeves in the upper arm are tight and the sleeve length is short, as is the whole jacket is short on me. So far I have these measurements that I think would give them a pretty good idea on jacket sizing.

Height 6'4 ( Measure in Feet/Inches or Metric )
Chest 50 ( Measure round chest under arms loosely )
Sleeve 26 ( Measure from Shoulder to Cuff or from a Jacket Sleeve )
Back of the jacket length, seem to bottem of jacket: 22 inches
From collar to the back seem: 5 1/2 inches
Jacket Size 50 long ( UK and USA are the same, or Continental Size )
Style Raiders Jacket Authentic brown goatskin

Now I'm asking if any of you guys know of anymore measurements that I can provide wested to make sure this jacket is just what I want it to be, and if any of you have preferred options that you'd get to make the jacket even better?

Get 2 piece gussets (although they may cost more). Have you read this thread yet? It might give ya some added ideas:

hey, can anybody elaborate more on the tapered sleeves and adding an inch on the front to avoid ride up? Thanks!

Tapered sleeves: For a fitted, more tailored look. Some think that the original sleeve ends are a bit large for their needs.
Inch added: To keep the jacket level all around.
That pretty much sums it up, I think. ;)

Congrats on your future Wested.
