And yes, a "maybe" from anyone that you spent money with is good.

Hey just an update.....

Anyone who is interested in Horsehide should think about an order soon. My order has been on hold for a month or so because Wested has not been recieving any quality hides. Gerry emailed late last week that they should have a batch in on wednesday this coming week, so if HH was something you were looking into, you may want to jump on it while they have some hide.

Hang on, Jack, it'll happen...sorry you've been caught in what looks like one of the longest waits w/ Wested.

Some of seem to be waiting a painfully long time for your jackets. Its gotta be reasuring to know Peters so concerned about the quality of his products.

What hide is your new jacket Jack? It looks like its got a cool redish colour to it.

It's a goat. I don't want to discourage people from getting this jacket by my long wait time because this is the second one that I ordered-- I wound up sending the first one back. If there is one thing that I learned from sizing this jacket it's that it does not fit like a wet-suit (to quote Peter). If you measure about at 44" in the chest, then get a 44, not a 46. I had a feeling that I would need an extra inch in the length so I opted for the TOD, which I don't regret. Does anyone else feel like the only person in town that has a jacket like this? I do. I've had nothing but compliments on this baby.

Thats exactly how I feel Jack, everyone seems to love it and everytime I see a leather jacket on someone I have to check if its an Indy. It never is!
But I remember Peter telling me the orders for the Indy jacket pretty much all come from the States.

CONGRATULATIONS JACK! Man, you also get the prize for waiting the longest WITHOUT killing anyone! You didn't kill anyone, right? Right? JACK???

Great pic, and you nailed it - I haven't seen another Wested since I got mine...nothing even CLOSE. Not even anything w/ side straps...it's just me here. ;)

Hey congratulations, Jack. A wait well worth it!
It's so red looking (for what I've seen goatskin to look like before)!
My goatskin Wested tends more to greyish/brown tones- yours looks really good, man!

Thank you, thank you. I'll see about some more pics. The shot above makes it look red, it's actually dark brown. I'm very happy with the goat, a lot of people who have compared it to the lamb have said that the goat is much thicker, it's actually quite supple. I'm still on my jacket honeymoon and baby this thing quite a bit, I can only imagine how paranoid I'd be with the lamb. I find excuses to wear it whenever I can, my latest jacket adventure found me drinking whiskey here late one Sunday night.
