Man what....A JACKET

Post by MARQ »

My jacket is finally here! It was delivered to the door, didn´t have to pick it up from the postoffice. Just "write name on the bottom" and PRESTO it´s yours! As you might recall from my earlier postings I asked for some alterations like Raiders-version with Crusade-collar...BUT as I went further with my order Jerry informed me that they do not alter the design in any way,so I got standard Raiders-version in authentic brown lamb, size 46 long with 27 inch sleeves.

And fit IS perfect,no action-pleat bulging, nothing to complain

This is amazing piece of goods, and it really looks better after couple of wearings, the draping is out of this world!
WESTED Co,Peter and Jerry you cuys rock!
One thing puzzles me:Why would somebody artificially distress ones jacket? It looks great even with out it......
Well,I´ll post some pics, sometime ,somehow ,somewhere....

Marc I don't think it's that they won't do alterations/modifications anymore, but rather that, if for instance they change the pocket size, they will not take the jacket back if there are any problems with fitting etc. Because of this I believe that they recommend not having any alterations done. If you really want them done and are prepared to accept the consequences if there is a problem with the jacket I believe they will gladly do them. If I am wrong someone please correct me.

Marq,

I also ordered a 46 long, and got my sleeves at 26.5". How tall are you and where do your sleeves fall on your hand?

I´m around 6"1, and the sleeves fall smack to the middle of the hand as in "first knuckle of the thumb", where the finger begins.I specificly asked them to make them 27 inches.
And what comes to the alterations, I swear that the pockets of the Smithsonian are different than the current ones

Well, that 26.5" sounds standard for me but I kept in mind the ride-up factor :)
