Wested Indy Shirt - was hoping for an opinion about >>

Post by BillyTheKid »

Hi all,

sorry to have so many questions, but i'm getting ready to purchase the Wested Indy Shirt and was hoping for a bit of advice in regard as to which size to go with. I just went through some measurement - i'm 6'2" 172lbs. 37 chest = slim i know (all those years spent as a runner / swimmer i guess  ). I've contacted wested and they've told me that the small measures '38 in the chest. My question is should i run w/ the small or would i be better served w/ a medium ? I obviously don't plan on wearing this w/ a T-shirt beneath, but don't want too tight a fit ? Any opinions / advice will be greatly appreciated :D

BTW, so i'm not simply asking question after question i thought i might include this, and figure most here already know. How many have noticed that during the "Boat Chase" in L.C. the members of the Brotherhood of the Crucified sword is using a Sten Submachine gun which hadn't yet been built = the first Sten Gun entered British Military service in 1941, three years *after* the movie year( '38 ) .... or am i mistaken as to the submachine gun used (i don't believe i am though ?) ?

Many thanks, in advance, and Happy Holidays from N.M.

Billy, I would recommend going with the medium. If you go with the small I think the sleeves are going to to be too short, and maybe the length of the shirt too. I am about the same size as you. 6'1", 36 chest, and around 155 pounds. The medium fits me pretty well, except the lenght of the shirt is just a little short in my opinion, but I like longer shirts since the don't come untucked as easily. The chest is a little too big, but the collar and sleeves are dead on. If you are still not sure about the size I recommend calling Wested and giving them your neck, arm, and shoulder measurements as well as your chest size and height. They will probably tell you to go with the medium. Hope this helps. Good luck.
