My HJ stcker is applied so that you can read the logo when holding the pinch as if you were about to put it on.

A... STICKER?!?!?! You've gotta be kidding me. I'm sorry, but that just sounds cheaper than cheap.
I thought the hats with the liners glued in was cheap enough but a sticker?

Is it a paper sticker? -Or is it some kind of fabric?

At least HJ is now responding to customer demand.

It's kind of textured, fabric-y/paper-y stuff with gold print:

Hope this helps... :?:

I can't believe they don't put it in the hat anymore. That is the height of laziness. What a rip-off. I'm sorry, but Herbert Johnson has gone downhill.

It's a printed thingy... I'd say it's a fancy treated paper sticker.

Thanks, SJ. It just gets clearer and clearer!
I'm just kidding you. I think I have a good idea of what you mean.

I imagine that HJ came up with this sticker as a way to retro-fit their white liners to the tastes of the Indiana Jones fan. Do you think this is the case?

I believe those stickers were generally applied in HJ's during the 90's - obviously a cost-cutting measure. Some, but not all of the fedoras (non-Indy), trilbies and tweed caps over at Swaine Adeney Brigg had the sticker logo on the liner.

I didn't receive any stickers with my Replix HJ - just the black liner with the gold HJ name printed on it, which has already almost faded away.

Due to acid odeur rising from the underground? Or just poor printquality?

Best regards

Maybe a little of both.

No, I think the quality of the printing isn't good, at least not on my hat.

... A sticker? Do you get a lollipop and balloon with it too?
I never got a sticker with my HJ, either...
I want my money back...

Since it says Herbert Johnson on the inside anyway, if you keep your hat in a box, it could be cool to put the sticker on the box... or maybe on the bottom of a skateboard... I used to put all my stickers on the bottom of my skateboard... Give HJ a bit of 'street-cred'...

I jest of course.

That would be the coolest thing ever. Some kid skating down the street with a Herbert Johnson sticker on his skateboard. I don't know, I think I'd just have to shake his hand out of pure awe!

Elodie: Good luck with the sticker. I didn't know HJ actually did that. The sticker looks like the one that was on the inside of my old Disneyland Indy fed. It came off after a lot of wear, and I still have it. I almost put it inside my Peters Bros. fed! haha. :D

I...uh...I had to take the sticker out of my Disney to reshape the bash...then I stuck a new sticker in it...really wish I had a picture here to show you which way I had to orient it to work w/ the off-center bash...

...someone at the QM summit took a pic of it. Okay, have to get back to you on that. (ITG? PBG? Anybody got that pic?)

I think they send the sticker only with the hat:
"Indy Fedora by Herbert Johnson with black linings - SHAPED "

Yeah, that's exactly what I ordered, but no sticker. Maybe they only started including the stickers in later orders, as I got mine a while ago.

That sticker is awesome... I did have to stick it back on though while I was Fulling (;)) around with your hat, you might want to double check that it's on there nice and good.
