Peter will do whatever you want, as long as it is returned in unworn condition. He wants to make his customers happy.

I have an Indy jacket with the panal extended all the way, and one with it short by about a half inch. I like them both, and the difference doesn't really bother me that much. It's definately a personal choice, but if it didn't look bad, I wouldn't send it back, but thats me.

There are a few threads pertaining to this in the archives, pretty easy to find. I think it would cost about $20 to send it back, and you have to make sure you put notes all over the package, to the likes of:
"Returned to Great Britain for Alterations and Repair"
Or Wested will be hit with a customs fee, that you will have to re-imburse.

i found them but i didnt see the price - thanks.

i wonder if a jacket size is larger than say 46, if wested has difficulty finding a back panel that is large enough to extend to the edges? i have found that on my 44 and 46 the back panel is the same size and neither makes it fully to the edge. almost as if that is the biggest a back panel can be

I believe a size 50 is the largest Wested can make a lamb with the back panel extended all the way to the back.

Yes, I did have some issues with my jacket and the panel that extended all the way, but I'm not sure if that was the problem that caused it. I contacted Wested with the bulging problem and after they had examined the panel they said it was faulty and I never asked why really. On the jacket I got back, it didn't extend all the way and the problem was fixed though I never had a clue why as I was just happy with a well fitting jacket.
I hope everything works out for you.
