Wow, Fedora, you've got a big line outside your door and you haven't even opened yet! I also like the idea of having a page on the website where satisfied cutomers can post comments. :D

Howdy Fedora:

I can't remember whether I asked to be on your pre-order list. If I did not, how can I get on it and what do you need from me. I know that I will be well down the list (sigh.......), but somewhere is better than nowhere!!!

As much as I want my hat from Fedora, I must agree with Langpuss!
What is the use of doing something that you like,
if the pressure makes you hate it!!
Above all else, Enjoy!!! :D

Langpuss, you are listed. Really guys, the tension is not making the hats, it is waiting on the stuff so I can get started. Making the hats is fun, and enjoyable. I guess I have always been the impatient type. Fedora

I'm anxious to see the results fedora. By the way I think this thread must set a record for the number of views and replies. I think that says something about the interest in your business.

I have been astounded by the response!!! To end this thread, at least on my part, remember I have special prices for the COW members, as opposed to someone who just orders off of my soon to be site. I have top men working on it now. :D I stand behind these hats 100 per cent. If it is not the finest Raiders fedora that you own, send it back, like you got it, and I will gladly refund your money. Or, if it needs modified, in crown height or brim width, I will take care of that too. I want to express my deeply held thanks for the administrator and staff here, for allowing me basically to sell hats on this site. In the future, I will not burden the space with this again, but will use pms and emails to do the business of selling, etc. Thanks guys. Fedora

Hey! It takes a LOT of work to be as much of a scoundrel as I am! Send me $19.95 (or your credit card number) and I'll share with you my secrets on how to become one yourself!

But Fedora, you are far to honest and good a man to ever be a scoundrel. So if you need any dirty work done, just let me know!

 You're far too kind. It was an exciting project and I hope that everyone likes the site and that it makes business easier on Fed. He's put a lot of effort into his hats and helping us all out, not to mention one of the friendliest guys I have met here. This community is so friendly, it's the only one I have seen where people seem genuinly excited and happy for people when they get their hats or gear or in this case as they get the ball rolling on a venture. I think it's great.

I understand, Clinton. I just didn't know if that'd be an option for you or not. And rest assured spring will come and you'll have an AdventureBilt! You can do what I did and start stashing away pennies here and there for it. That way, it doesn't feel like a big chunk out of your wallet all at once. Oh, and here's your wallet back. I didn't find much in it.

Ok. So I was using the search function to find any mention of anyone having used Steve's layaway option for ordering Adventurebilt Hats(yup, layaway), and found this. Ladies and Gents, I give you the birth of Adventurebilt! I just read through the entire thread and I've got to say this is a must read (or reread) for all. Not only is it fun to read through the process of starting a hat company in the 21st century, but also to watch the excitment build among the members of COW for Steve's new hat. There are also some really fun comments including this little gem...
Snakewhip_Sable wrote:This may perhaps be a more anxiously anticipated event than the fourth movie.

Man, if we only knew then..."put me on the list"

Johnny

p.s...layaway?

p.p.s. Look about three posts up...wow, was there ever a time when our wallets were safe from Bink?

I was greatly relieved to hear about Steve's great come-back recovery.

I feel fantastic that he is back in the groove finishing up the mountain of back-ordered hats.

Steve your da man.

Seeing how this thread is really 8 years old, with minor updates from 4 years ago, I'm going to shut it down and lets keep the posting in the more recent thread.
